ITI QMat call for proposals
Each year QMat funds research projects responding to a global emerging need for cutting-edge research and education across the domain of quantum science and nanotechnology. The next call should be announced toward the end of the year.
The project should request support for collaborators (PhD grants in priority), added to the laboratory consumables and environment support. Collaborative proposals are encouraged. Proposals can also request support for equipment, but the planned budget envelope for this category will be limited. Proposals should argue how they can contribute to the teaching goals of the ITI QMat and/or QuanTEdu France. High risk / high pay off projects are also welcome and should be specified clearly.
The applicant(s) (principal investigator(s), PI(s) of the project) must be a permanent member of one of the Institutes involved in the ITI QMat: IPCMS, IC, IPHC, ISIS, LPB and CESQ or member of the icFRC network. Applicants from other research units associated to Université de Strasbourg can also be considered for projects addressing specifically the aims of the QuanTEdu program.
The criteria for selecting the projects are:
scientific quality of the project (originality, feasibility or high risk high pay off ratio, impact).
synergy with the ITI QMat and/or QuantEdu-France scientific and teaching goals, in particular interdisciplinarity, as well as starting researcher members support.
