In addition to the annual call for research project proposals, QMat can fund a variety of actions as
1/2 ATER support
A budget of 8 to 11 k€ has been dedicated to cover salary costs for the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. This support may be renewed in future years (one or two per year), subject to precise conditions (excellence of the candidate, teaching project relevant to QMat, thesis defended at the start of the academic year).
Workshops & conferences
QMat can cofund workshops and conferences within its scientific perimeter. A detailed budget and motives on how the event would benefit to QMat students have to be joined with the request.
TP QMat
QMat has been funding top-level practicals in 2024 and 2025 for the M2 programs (PhyQs and QTep) and M1 (up to 50 k€). In return, selected teams are expected to offer a minimum of two weeks of practical sessions in the first semester (one for PhyQs and one for QTep) and lab courses in M1 during the second semester (2 sessions of 2 days each). Practicals are ideally taking place either in close proximity to or directly within the team’s laboratories and be taught by a member of the team (permanent or non-permanent). The subject of the practical should be connected, even loosely, to quantum sciences and be distinct from the practicals already offered.
