Living in Strasbourg

Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace, is located alongside the Rhine river on the French-German border. It is a historic, international, and academic city, offering an appealing mix of influences that positively impact its culture. Strasbourg also boasts an eclectic mix of old and new: its historic city center (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) overlooked by the cathedral is contrasted by the modern seat of the European Parliament. Beyond the world-class research facilities, the City of Strasbourg also gives lots of opportunities to live life at its fullest, with around 50,000 students (20% international students), cultural events, and festivals all year round, France’s largest cycle trail network, and Paris less than 2 hours away by train.
