We are announcing up to 30 “Q-Master" scholarships at both the M1 (first year) and M2 (second year) Master levels, for outstanding candidates with a BSc degree (or equivalent). Classes begin in September 2025.

IMPORTANT: To apply for the QMat program, you must ALSO apply to a Master program.

Students from countries part of the Campus France list must go through the Campus France website. Other students must use Monmaster (for M1 level) or Ecandidat (for M2 level). 

For this application, you will need to select one of the following path:

- For Master students entering at the first year, choose the section:

Master (M1): Undifferentiated Master (Research and Professional) > Science, Technology, Health > Master of Physics > Master of Physics (First Common Year)

- For Master students entering at the second year, you must choose a specialization:

Within the Master of Physics:

  • Astrophysics
  • Subatomic Physics and Astroparticles
  • Radiation Physics, Detector, Instrumentation and Imaging
  • Physics of Quantum and Soft Condensed Matter
  • Quantum Technologies, European Program
  • Materials and Nanoscience
  • Cell Physics Master

Within the Master « Sciences et Génie des Matériaux »

  • Ingénierie des matériaux et nanosciences

Within the Master « Optics, Image, Vision, Multimedia » of Telecom Physics, Strasbourg

  • Photonique pour les nanosciences et le vivant

Requirements for the Master program

  • Bachelor of Science in Physics or equivalent

  • Proof of English and/or French proficiency

  • Motivation to pursue a Masters and/or PhD in Strasbourg

Fees

Costs to study in France is largely subsidized by the French government for all students. More info here.


Master fellowships

Applicants to the QMat programme will be considered for a Q-Master scholarship of around 800€/month. Fellowships will be awarded based on previous academic performance, overlap of your interests and goals with QMat themes and your motivation to take part in the QMat programme.

Doctoral fellowships

Doctoral students registered at the University of Strasbourg can apply to become a member of QMat at any time (see the dedicated page).
