Pierre GUICHARD
Introduction:
Currently a second-year master student in Condensed Matter and Nanophysics (MCN) with a reinforcement by the Magistere de Physique Fondamentale (MdPF) at the University of Strasbourg. I am mainly interested in out-of-equilibrium processes, relativistic quantum mechanics and atomic physics. My goal is to do a PhD in one of these topics.
Gael COULON
Introduction:
I am currently a 3rd year student at the Telecom Physique Strasbourg engineering school and a M2 student in “Subatomic physics and astroparticles” degree.
I joined the QMat program to be a part of this great community, to share my knowledge and learn with other students from other backgrounds, while discovering new topics of interest for me.

Walid DANDACHLY
Introduction:
Lebanese student at the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of the University of Strasbourg. I moved to Strasbourg in 2022 to join the M2 PRIDI program because I am highly interested in this domain and its applications in the medical field. My ultimate goal is to become an expert in the PRIDI domain and then make a real contribution to this domain. My plan is to pursue my degree by doing a PhD, with the goal of achieving new discoveries in the research field.
Navaneeth GOWDA
Introduction:
I am an M2 Student in Materials and Nanoscience stream. I joined the QMat program in September 2022 after obtaining my Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Nano Technology. I always wanted to pursue a career in the research field so I chose the emerging technology of the 21st century. I am interested in Synthesis of Nanomaterials and their applications.
Abdou IBRAHIM
Introduction:
I am currently a master student in the Condensed Matter and Nanophysics(M2- MCN) program in the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of the University of Strasbourg, as part of the QMat master program. I hold a BSc degree in Physics with a specialization in Fondamental Physics, which I obtained after completing my studies at the University of Yaoundé 1, in Cameroon. I am mostly interested in Physics of semiconductors and physics of magnetic states. So, I aim to obtain a PhD grant about this topics next year.
Clément LLAURO
Introduction:
I am currently a 3rd year student at the Telecom Physique Strasbourg engineering school and a M2 student in the astrophysics degree at the astronomical observatory of Strasbourg. I joined the QMat program to both deepen and broaden my interest in the quantum field and in the world of research. I intend to specialize myself with a PhD in Cosmology and High-Energy Astrophysics next year.
Olympe LECHINE
Introduction:
I am studying general engineering at Telecom Physique Strasbourg and additionally starting a Master 2 in Astrophysics at the Astronomical Observatory of Strasbourg. I joined the QMat program because quantum phenomena are important for understanding the Universe. It is also an opportunity to deepen my knowledge in physics and discover new fields of interest. I would like to continue my studies with a PhD in Astrophysics.
Hasan SHAMAS
Introduction:
I have done my master 1 in fundamental physics at the Lebanese University. Now, I am delighted to join the QMat program as a master 2 student in the Subatomic and Astroparticle Physics (M2-PSA) at the Faculty of Physics and Engineering – University of Strasbourg. I would like to specialize in High Energy Particle Physics, and I aim to pursue a PhD in this field.
Simon RINCON CELIS
Introduction:
I did my licentiate degree in Physics at Universidad Simón Bolívar (Venezuela) and my M1 studies at UNISTRA. Now I am part of the M2 in Condensed Matter and Nanophysics. I am mainly interested in research areas like Quantum Information Processing, Open Quantum Systems, and their link to Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics. I pursue to follow a Ph.D. in one of these fields.
Corentin SANTOS
Introduction:
I am a M2 student in Subatomic Physics and Astroparticles, with a reinforcement by the Magistère of Fundamental Physics (MdPF). I have studied mathematics and physics in preparatory classes before joining the faculty of Physics & Engineering. My interests lie in Physics Beyond the Standard Model, B-Physics and even a bit of cosmology, domains in which I hope to do a PhD thesis next year.
Amar BELLAHSENE
Introduction:
I am currently a M2 student in the MCN master, after a M1 physics in Strasbourg and a BCs degree in fundamental physics in Lille. I joined QMat this year because I do hold a deep interest in Quantum Mechanics and Condensed Matter, going from topics related to quantum information processing techniques involving computing science and open quantum systems, to solid-state electronic devices. I am projecting to find a final-year internship with experimental dimension, oriented on future quantum technologies. And I plan to pursue my degree by doing a PhD, with the aim to devote my professional career towards understanding and finding outcomes of these fields in my future research specialization.
Gusthigngnhadurage Dushmantha

Introduction:
My name is Valerius Evan Ligasetiawan. I am currently enrolled in the M2 MCN (Master of Condensed Matter and Nanophysics) track. I am particularly interested in theoretical condensed matter physics, mainly related to entanglement in many-body systems described using simple Hamiltonian models as a starting point. I think QMat graduate school will complement what I lack through the courses and internships that will lead me to an exciting PhD topic.

I obtained my bachelor’s in physics from Sohag University in Egypt. I then attended a one-year master program in mathematical sciences at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Ghana. In 2021, I started at the University of Strasbourg as an M1 student and QMat scholar. I am currently attending the M2 in Subatomic Physics & Astroparticles (PSA).
My main interest is particle physics, and I worked at CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics) on the FASER experiment, searching for new light and weakly interacting elementary particles. I also worked on some reactions within the Belle II experiment in Japan, which could be the first sign of physics Beyond the Standard Model.
