Here, some M1 students of the 2022-2023 QMat cohort introduce themselves

Basile DEMAIRE-LEPAPE

Introduction:
As a student at the University of Strasbourg since the beginning of my studies, I joined the Magistère de Physique Fondamentale in the 3rd year of my undergraduate studies and I am currently in M1 in Physics.
Thanks to internships, I was able to refine my interests, which are currently quantum field theory and general relativity.

Valerio DI BELLA

Introduction:
I’m DI BELLA Valerio I’m a student in M1 physics and a member of the Magistere of fundamental physics (MdPF). In my life I’ve studied physic and mathematics during two years. Now I’m interested in theorical physics and everything who is fundamental. I like physics and mathematics and so I want to work in a field who can involve a lot of mathematics, like supersymmetry or Quantum field theory. I want to use this year to understand what’s the field I’m most excited about to know where I can go next year.

Marwan CHAMMOUMA

Introduction:
Studying at the University of Strasbourg since my first year at university, i’m currently a M1 student.
I aim to join the Condensed Matter and Nanophysics’ Master 2 next year.
Physics has always been a passion for me and I always loved learning how the world behaves.

Floriane HERVILLARD

Introduction:
I am currently in the M1 « préparation à l’agrégation de Physique-Chimie, option Physique ». I choose to join the Qmat programme to expand my scientific culture and better understand the things I will teach after the end of my studies.

Alexandre BINA

Introduction:
I am a Reunion Island student who entered Strasbourg university last year as a Mdpf student. Currently, I am in M1 Physics and I contemplate joining the M2 Condensed Matter and Nanophysics in order to pursue a phd in that field and the QMat program gives me all the resources to make this possible.

Victor PENARD

Introduction:
Last year I was in the chemistry college of Strasbourg (“Chemical Physics Degree). Currently I am in “Master Physique parcours préparation à l’agrégation de physique.

Maxime DHERBECOURT

Introduction:
After finishing my undergraduate studies in L3-Magistère at the University of Strasbourg, I continued my studies as a M1 student. I am mainly interested in quantum mechanics and nanotechnologies, as well as in condensed matter. For these reasons, I would like to join the Condensed Matter and Nanophysics M2 next year. I hope QMat opportunities will guide me through my studies and help me identify my research interests.

Victor RODRIGUEZ

Introduction:
Currently at my fourth year of studies here in Strasbourg, I entered the M1 after completing the undergraduate program in Physics at the university. I am mainly interested in statistical physics and condensed matter, and hope to be able to further my studies in those fields, by entering the M2 Condensed Matter and Nanophysics next year.

Jules FAVREL

Introduction:
I am currently a M1 student in Physics and a member of Magistère de Physique Fondamentale at the University of Strasbourg. Passionate about physics, my vocation is to contribute to the realization of thermonuclear fusion, thus providing humanity with a sustainable source of energy. In particular I want to modeling a fusion process in a Tokamak device. An other point of interest would be to understand how can we transform the fusion energy to electric energy by studies properties of wall of a reactor. I joined the Qmat program because I am certain that quantum materials science is a crucial issue in the development of a project such as ITER and it’s future. And I like to practice poetry when physics give me inspiration.

Enzo INART

Introduction:

I am Inart Enzo, I joined the « Magistere of fundamental physics » last year and currently I pursue the M1 « préparation à l’agrégation de sciences-physiques, option Physique ». After getting the « agrégation », I would like to continue in M2 « astrophysics » or « subatomic physics and astroparticles », in order to make a thesis in astrophysics or in fundamental physics probably and I hope QMat can give me all the resources to get there.

Julien TAILLIEU

Introduction:

In 2021 I joined the university of Strasbourg as a MdPF student. I am currently in M1 physics and aiming for the M2 condensed matter and nanophysics. I’ve always been interested in science. Last year I discovered many different interesting topics in physics, so I hope being a part of Qmat will give me the information I need to make the right choice.

Charlie JEUDY

Introduction:

Passionate of physics, i’m studying at the Strasbourg University since 3 years and i’m currently in my first years of master. I joined the ‘MAGISTERE of Fundamental Physics ‘ at the time of my last year of undergraduate. I chose this path to improve all of my knowledge with the aim of becomming a theorist. Indeed I really like mathematic as well, and i hope that they will stay a big part of my future job. For me physics looks like to a huge puzzle where anybody see a different picture but put the pieces at same place and my dream is to find a new one. My field of predilection are General relativity, the QED and, generally, all of the quantum effects and their implication

Tristan GUEBHART

Introduction:

After 3 years studying in Strasbourg, I am currently a M1 student, also part of Magistère de Physique Fondamentale. This year, I aim to discover what I really want to study next, with the help of QMat and possibly internships. For now, the objective would be to pursue my studies in M2 Astrophysics or Subatomic Physics and Astroparticles.
